We are working closely with the on-site IT team to remove several legacy routers, all of which are still carrying some production traffic.
This is not a pull-the-plug-and-see-what-breaks job. We are sending a network engineer on-site and decommissioning one router at a time. Before removing each device, we validate routing, transfer its remaining services, confirm failover, and make sure traffic is stable on the replacement path.
The site supports executive office operations where downtime is not acceptable. Multiple carriers terminate here with BGP and dynamic routing across diverse upstream paths. That redundancy is valuable, but it also means every change needs proper planning, validation, and a clean rollback point.
One router, one cutover, and one validation at a time. The legacy hardware comes out while the site stays online.
