The legacy phone system on the right is being replaced by the new fiber infrastructure on the left.
This site has 40 bungalow buildings with eight condos in each one, for a total of 320 units. Every condo receives a dedicated fiber-optic cable carrying phone, Wi-Fi, and video services.
We installed the new fiber plant in parallel while keeping the legacy copper system operational. That gave us a controlled migration path without taking the existing services offline during construction.
With the new infrastructure in place, our next step is to begin removing the legacy copper system. Fiber in, copper out, one unit at a time.
