A ceiling tile contractor opened up the IT office and server room and quickly found more than they expected. Over the last decade, cabling had been added one run at a time until it was draped across the ceiling grid, light fixtures, electrical pathways, and other building systems.
They called us in to sort it out. We will trace the active runs, remove abandoned cable, install proper J-hook support, and rebuild the pathways so the cabling is organized and serviceable.
Any low-voltage cable running parallel with power or interfering with life-safety infrastructure will be rerouted with proper separation. We may be the last trade called into the room, but before those ceiling tiles go back, the cabling needs to be supported correctly and ready for the next ten years.
